Year 1 and 2 Eco Team
Who Are the Eco Team?

The Eco Team is a dedicated group of pupils from Year 1 and Year 2 who are passionate about caring for the environment and promoting sustainable practices within East Park Academy. These young environmentalists are selected for their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to making a positive impact on their school and local community. Through their work, the Eco Team helps instil a sense of responsibility and love for the planet in all pupils.
How Are Eco Team Members Chosen?

Eco Team members are chosen through a simple application process. Interested pupils express their enthusiasm for joining by sharing their ideas about why protecting the environment is important. Teachers also look for children who consistently show the East Park 8 values—Kindness, Voice, Leadership and Responsibility, Creativity, Self-Belief, Independence, Collaboration and Determination—in their daily actions. This ensures that every member of the team is ready to contribute meaningfully to their role.
